Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
This surah is Makki, and in it are described the conditions of the Day of Judgment, the weighing of deeds, and the reward and punishment for them. (Ayah 1){ اَلْقَارِعَةُ:’’قَرَعَيَقْرَعُقَرْعًا‘‘} (F) To knock on the door with intensity. Like {’’ اَلْقَارِعَةُ ‘‘ ’’ الطَّاۤمَّةُ ، الصَّاۤخَّةُ ، اَلْحَاۤقَّةُ ، الْغَاشِيَةِ ‘‘} and {’’ الْوَاقِعَةُ ‘‘ }, it is one of the names of the Day of Judgment, because the sound of the trumpet will strike the ears, hearts, and everything else with intensity, to the extent that due to this sound, the earth and the mountains will collide with each other, as He said: « وَحُمِلَتِالْاَرْضُوَالْجِبَالُفَدُكَّتَادَكَّةًوَّاحِدَةً »[ الحآقۃ : ۱۴ ] "And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up, and then both will be made to collide with a single collision."
