Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 97) {وَ لَوْ جَآءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ اٰيَةٍ …:} That is, even if any sign or miracle comes, they will never believe, until they see the painful punishment, but at that time, believing will not benefit them in any way, just as it did not benefit Pharaoh and his people, and similarly, when the disbelievers of the previous prophets’ nations saw Allah’s punishment, believing did not benefit them. See Surah Al-Mu’min (85). The reason Allah Almighty has given is that if they are spared at that time, they will again follow the path of disbelief. See Surah Al-An’am (27, 28).
