Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world (i.e. through a righteous dream seen by the person himself or shown to others), and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allâh. This is indeed the supreme success.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 64) ➊ {لَهُمُالْبُشْرٰىفِيالْحَيٰوةِالدُّنْيَا … : ’’ لَهُمُ ‘‘ } Because of coming first, it creates the meaning of restriction, that is, in the life of this world, glad tidings are especially for them. This includes several things: (1) Pure and clean life, as He said: «{ مَنْعَمِلَصَالِحًامِّنْذَكَرٍاَوْاُنْثٰىوَهُوَمُؤْمِنٌفَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهٗحَيٰوةًطَيِّبَةً }»[ النحل : ۹۷ ] "Whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, and he is a believer, then surely We will give him a good life." (2) Due to faith in destiny, being safe from impatience and fear and grief like the disbelievers, as mentioned above, and He said: «{ اِنَّالْاِنْسَانَخُلِقَهَلُوْعًا (19) اِذَامَسَّهُالشَّرُّجَزُوْعًا (20) وَاِذَامَسَّهُالْخَيْرُمَنُوْعًا (21) اِلَّاالْمُصَلِّيْنَ }»[ المعارج : ۱۹ تا ۲۲ ] "Indeed, man was created anxious. When evil touches him, he is fretful. And when good touches him, he withholds. Except those who pray." Then after mentioning some qualities of these praying people, He said: «{ اُولٰٓىِٕكَفِيْجَنّٰتٍمُّكْرَمُوْنَ }»[ المعارج : ۳۵ ] "These are the ones who will be honored in gardens." (3) Good dreams. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: [ لَمْيَبْقَمِنَالنُّبُوَّةِإِلاَّالْمُبَشِّرَاتُ ، قَالُوْاوَمَاالْمُبَشِّرَاتُ؟قَالَالرُّؤْيَاالصَّالِحَةُ ][ بخاری، التعبیر، باب المبشرات : ۶۹۹۰ ] "Nothing is left of prophethood except glad tidings." People asked: "What are glad tidings?" He said: "Good dreams." (4) That glad tiding can also be included which the angels give him at the time of death, at the last moment of the world. Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): [ اَلْمُؤْمِنُإِذَاحَضَرَهُالْمَوْتُبُشِّرَبِرِضْوَانِاللّٰهِوَكَرَامَتِهٖفَلَيْسَشَيْئٌأَحَبَّإِلَيْهِمِمَّاأَمَامَهُفَأَحَبَّلِقَاءَاللّٰهِوَأَحَبَّاللّٰهُلِقَاءَهُ ][ بخاری، الرقاق، باب من أحب لقاء اللہ… : ۶۵۰۷ ] "When death comes to a believer, he is given the glad tidings of Allah's pleasure and honor from Him. At that time, nothing is dearer to the believer than what is ahead of him (in the form of Paradise and Allah's pleasure), so he loves to meet Allah and Allah also loves to meet him (whereas the case of the disbeliever is the opposite)." (5) Love for him in the hearts of people and people praising and commending him, even though he does not worship for this reason but only for Allah's pleasure, yet Allah places love for him in the hearts of righteous people. See Surah Maryam (96). Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it was said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Tell us, a man does a good deed and people praise him for it?" So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ تِلْكَعَاجِلُبُشْرَیالْمُؤْمِنِ ][ مسلم، البر والصلۃ، باب إذا أثنی علی الصالح … : ۲۶۴۲ ] "This is the glad tidings for the believer that comes quickly." (6) Acceptance of supplications. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ إِنَّمِنْعِبَادِاللّٰهِمَنْلَّوْأَقْسَمَعَلَیاللّٰهِلَأَبَرَّهُ ][ بخاری، الصلح، باب الصلح في الدیۃ : ۲۷۰۳ ] "There are some servants of Allah that if they swear by Allah, He fulfills it."
➋ { وَفِيالْاٰخِرَةِ:} By this are meant all those glad tidings that are given to the believers in the Hereafter. See Surah Az-Zumar (20) and Ash-Shura (22, 23), and very great blessings, such as the slaughtering of death, eternal stay in Paradise, Allah being pleased with them, and seeing Allah. May Allah grant us these blessings as well. (Ameen) All these things are present in the Noble Qur'an and authentic ahadith.
➌ {لَاتَبْدِيْلَلِكَلِمٰتِاللّٰهِ :} Therefore, those promises will surely be fulfilled which He has made to the people of faith.
➍ {ذٰلِكَهُوَالْفَوْزُالْعَظِيْمُ : ’’ هُوَ ‘‘} The pronoun is called "zameer fasl." It has three benefits: one is emphasis, the second is restriction, and the third is to distinguish between the described and the attribute, and between the subject and predicate. It has no grammatical case (i'rab), so the translation is "this indeed is the great success." Other than this, firstly, no success exists at all, and even if it is accepted, it is insignificant, it has no value or worth.
