No doubt! Verily, the Auliyâ’ of Allâh [i.e. those who believe in the Oneness of Allâh and fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve.

(Ayah 62) {اَلَاۤاِنَّاَوْلِيَآءَاللّٰهِ … : ’’ اَلَا ‘‘} is called the letter of warning, meaning listen well, be aware, something very important is about to be said. Hafiz Ibn Hazm Andalusi (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote a treatise {’’ اَلْاَخْلَاقُوَالسِّيَرُ ‘‘} in which he expressed the essence of his life experiences. In it, he says: "I reflected and came to the conclusion that whoever works hard in this world, his aim is to attain happiness and to avoid fear (and grief)." In this verse, Allah Almighty has described the way to attain happiness and to avoid fear and grief, and that is to attain the friendship and guardianship of Allah Almighty. Thus, it is said: "Listen! Surely, the friends of Allah, there is no fear upon them, nor do they grieve." That is, in the Hereafter, or in both this world and the Hereafter. The detail is that fear is of something to come, and grief is for a calamity that has passed. The friends (awliya) of Allah have no fear of the future, because in the Hereafter they will be free from every fear. There, they will have no fear of any calamity coming or of any blessing being taken away, nor any grief over anything past. On the contrary, since the enemies of Allah neither believe in the Hereafter nor have any share in its blessings, it is said: «{ اُولٰٓىِٕكَالَّذِيْنَلَيْسَلَهُمْفِيالْاٰخِرَةِاِلَّاالنَّارُوَحَبِطَمَاصَنَعُوْافِيْهَاوَبٰطِلٌمَّاكَانُوْايَعْمَلُوْنَ}»[ ہود : ۱۶ ] "These are the ones for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter except the Fire, and lost is what they did in this world, and worthless is what they used to do." Therefore, every moment of theirs passes in fear: fear of losing whatever blessing they have, and grief over not attaining what they do not have, then fear of death, then what will happen afterwards—they have no idea, in short, only fear. That is why Allah Almighty has described their wealth and children as a means of punishment for them in the life of this world. The friends of Allah will have no grief in the Hereafter, because every hardship they suffered in this world will be washed away by a single dip in Paradise, so why grieve? The calamities that come in this world are also not a cause of grief for them like they are for the disbelievers, because firstly, they hope for reward for every hardship, and secondly, their faith in destiny saves them from grief like that of the disbelievers, as no calamity written in Allah's decree could have been averted by any of our plans, nor can it be averted, so what is the use of grief? It is said: «{ لِّكَيْلَاتَاْسَوْاعَلٰىمَافَاتَكُمْوَلَاتَفْرَحُوْابِمَاۤاٰتٰىكُمْ }»[الحدید : ۲۳ ] "So that you do not grieve over what escapes you, nor exult over what He gives you."
