Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

In the above verse, after mentioning the world and its very swift decline to make people averse to inclining towards it, now in this verse, encouragement for Paradise is given and Paradise is named "Dar al-Salam." See Surah Al-An'am (125 to 127), meaning that which is free from every kind of calamity and distress, and in it there is only peace upon peace. Angels will greet with peace from every direction in it, and the people of Paradise will also greet each other with the greeting of peace. It is said: «{ وَ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيْهَا سَلٰمٌ [یونس : ۱۰ ] "And their call therein will be, 'Peace.'" They will also be honored with the blessing of peace from the Most Merciful Lord, as it is said: «{ سَلٰمٌ قَوْلًا مِّنْ رَّبٍّ رَّحِيْمٍ [ یٰسٓ : ۵۸] "Peace—a word from a Merciful Lord." Allah Almighty has invited to Paradise through the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Thus, Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that Jibril and Mika'il gave an example for me among themselves, that its example is like a king who built a palace, then arranged a splendid feast in it, and sent a caller to invite the people. So whoever accepted the caller's invitation will enter the palace and eat the food, and whoever did not accept the caller's invitation will neither enter the palace nor eat the food. Then they said, explain this to him so that he may understand! So one said, that palace is Paradise and the one calling towards it is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). So whoever obeyed Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeyed Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has disobeyed Allah, and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the one who distinguishes between people (in good and bad).
