Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 109){وَ اتَّبِعْ مَا يُوْحٰۤى اِلَيْكَ …: } That is, follow what is revealed to you, act upon it yourself, and invite all people to it as well. Then, be patient over the immense difficulties and trials that result from this, until Allah decides between you and your enemies as to who will remain dominant in the world. And He is the best of all who decide, and He has mentioned this decision in several places in the Qur’an. Thus, He said: «{ هُوَ الَّذِيْۤ اَرْسَلَ رَسُوْلَهٗ بِالْهُدٰى وَ دِيْنِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهٗ عَلَى الدِّيْنِ كُلِّهٖ وَ لَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُوْنَ [ الصف : ۹ ] “He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth so that He may make it prevail over every religion, even though the polytheists may dislike it.” And He said: «{ وَ لَا تَهِنُوْا وَ لَا تَحْزَنُوْا وَ اَنْتُمُ الْاَعْلَوْنَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ [ آل عمران : ۱۳۹ ] “And do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are believers.” Now, if Muslims are subdued, it is obligatory for them to reflect on Allah’s condition, “if you are believers,” and become true believers, so that the decision of the Best of Judges may be in their favor.
