Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 101) ➊ {قُلِانْظُرُوْامَاذَافِيالسَّمٰوٰتِوَالْاَرْضِ :} That is, there are countless signs of Allah Almighty’s power and His oneness in the heavens and the earth for bringing faith, as He said: «{ وَكَاَيِّنْمِّنْاٰيَةٍفِيالسَّمٰوٰتِوَالْاَرْضِيَمُرُّوْنَعَلَيْهَاوَهُمْعَنْهَامُعْرِضُوْنَ }»[ یوسف : ۱۰۵ ] “And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they, therefrom, are turning away.” And He said: «{ وَفِيالْاَرْضِاٰيٰتٌلِّلْمُوْقِنِيْنَ }»[ الذاریات : ۲۰ ] “And on the earth are signs for those who are certain [in faith].”
➋ { وَمَاتُغْنِيالْاٰيٰتُوَالنُّذُرُعَنْقَوْمٍلَّايُؤْمِنُوْنَ:} This can have two meanings: First, those people for whom it is not destined to believe, neither the signs benefit them nor the things that warn, nor the warning prophets and callers. The second meaning is that those people who have decided that no matter what happens, they will never leave the path of their forefathers and believe, for them neither the signs nor the warning prophets are of any benefit. {’’ النُّذُرُ ‘‘ ’’ نَذِيْرٌ ‘‘} is the plural of, whether they are warning miracles, signs, or prophets.
