Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

11. 1 The meanings of mard and tamarrud are softness, gentleness (smoothness), and tajarrud. Thus, a branch without leaves, a horse without hair, a boy whose face has no hair, all of these are called amrad, and glass is called صَرْح مُمَرَّد, i.e., مُجَرَّد. (مَرَدُوْا عَلَی النِّفَاقِ) It is as if they have made themselves pure and alone for hypocrisy, meaning their insistence on it will always remain.

11. 2 In how clear words the knowledge of the unseen is negated for the Prophet. If only the people of innovation were granted the ability to understand the Quran.

11. 3 According to some, this refers to humiliation and disgrace in this world and then punishment in the Hereafter, and according to others, there is a double punishment even in this world.
