Surah At-Takwir (81) — Ayah 23

وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ﴿23﴾
And indeed he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) saw him [Jibrîl (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east).
وَلَقَدْ walaqad And certainly
رَءَاهُ raāhu he saw him
بِٱلْأُفُقِ bil-ufuqi in the horizon
ٱلْمُبِينِ l-mubīni the clear

23. 1. It has already been mentioned that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Jibreel (عليه السلام) twice in his original form, one of which is mentioned here. This incident occurred at the beginning of prophethood, at that time Jibreel (عليه السلام) had six hundred wings, which filled the horizons of the sky. The second time was on the occasion of Mi'raj, as detailed in Surah An-Najm.
