Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

61. 1. If, instead of the circumstances of war, the situation demands peace and the enemy is also inclined towards peace, then there is no harm in making peace. Even if the enemy's purpose in peace is deception and trickery, there is no need to worry; place your trust in Allah, surely Allah will protect you from the enemy's deceit as well, and He is sufficient for you. However, this permission for peace is in situations when Muslims are weak and peace is in the interest of Islam and Muslims, but when the opposite is the case, Muslims are distinguished in strength and resources and the disbelievers are weak, then in such a situation, instead of peace, it is necessary to break the strength of the disbelievers.
