وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا۟ مِن دِيَـٰرِهِم بَطَرًا وَرِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ ﴿47﴾
And be not like those who come out of their homes boastfully and to be seen of men, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh; and Allâh is Muhîtun (encircling and thoroughly comprehending) all that they do.
وَلَا walā And (do) not
تَكُونُوا۟ takūnū be
كَٱلَّذِينَ ka-alladhīna like those who
خَرَجُوا۟ kharajū came forth
مِن min from
دِيَـٰرِهِم diyārihim their homes
بَطَرًۭا baṭaran boastfully
وَرِئَآءَ wariāa and showing off
ٱلنَّاسِ l-nāsi (to) the people
وَيَصُدُّونَ wayaṣuddūna and hinder (them)
عَن ʿan from
سَبِيلِ sabīli (the) way
ٱللَّهِ ۚ l-lahi (of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah
بِمَا bimā of what
يَعْمَلُونَ yaʿmalūna they do
مُحِيطٌۭ muḥīṭun (is) All-Encompassing
