ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ ﴿22﴾

22. 1. That is, he not only denied faith and obedience but also spread corruption in the land and kept striving to oppose Musa ؑ. Thus, he gathered magicians and made them confront Musa ؑ so that Musa ؑ could be proven false.
