(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in between them, the Most Gracious, with Whom they cannot dare to speak (on the Day of Resurrection except by His Leave).

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖl-raḥmānithe Most Gracious

37. 1. That is, His greatness, awe, and majesty will be such that in the beginning, no one will have the courage to speak before Him; therefore, without His permission, no one will be able to open their lips for intercession.
