Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

43. 1. This will be said to them as a favor, meaning these blessings of Paradise have been granted to you because of those righteous deeds which you used to do in the world. This means that the means of attaining Allah’s mercy, by which a person will enter Paradise, are righteous deeds. Those who hope for Allah’s mercy without righteous deeds are like someone who plows the land and, without sowing any seeds, expects a harvest, or who plants colocynth and hopes for delicious fruits.
