سُوْرَةُ الدَّهْرِ
Surah Al-Insaan (76) — Ayah 26
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَٱسْجُدْ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا ﴿26﴾

And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and ‘Ishâ’ prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer).

2 6. 1. By "prostrate at night," some have taken it to mean the Maghrib and Isha prayers, and by "tasbih" it means to declare His purity from things that are not befitting of Allah. According to some, this refers to the voluntary night prayers, i.e., Tahajjud. The command is for encouragement and recommendation.
