Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

4. 1. (From among our foolish ones) some have taken it to mean Satan, and some have taken it to mean their companion jinn, and some have taken it as a generic term; that is, every person who holds this false belief that Allah has offspring. Several meanings have been given for شَطَطًا: injustice, lie, falsehood, extreme disbelief, etc. The purpose is to indicate deviation from the path of moderation and exceeding the limits. The meaning is that the statement that Allah has offspring is the saying of those foolish ones who are far from the path of moderation, are excessive, and are liars and fabricators.
