Surah Al-A'raaf (7) — Ayah 97

أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا بَيَـٰتًا وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ ﴿97﴾
Did the people of the towns then feel secure against the coming of Our punishment by night while they were asleep?
أَفَأَمِنَ afa-amina Then did feel secure
أَهْلُ ahlu (the) people
ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ l-qurā (of) the cities
أَن an that
يَأْتِيَهُم yatiyahum comes to them
بَأْسُنَا basunā Our punishment
بَيَـٰتًۭا bayātan (at) night
وَهُمْ wahum while they
نَآئِمُونَ nāimūna (were) asleep
