Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

51. 1. It is mentioned in a hadith that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will ask such a servant: "Did I not give you a wife and children? Did I not bestow honor and respect upon you? And did I not make camels and horses subservient to you? Did you not collect tolls from people while being a leader?" He will say, "Why not? O Allah, all these things are true." Allah will ask him, "Did you believe in meeting Me?" He will say, "No." Allah will say, "Just as you forgot Me, today I also forget you." (Sahih Muslim) From this verse of the Noble Quran, it is understood that those who make religion a play and amusement are the ones who are deceived by the world. Since the concern for the Hereafter and the fear of Allah are removed from the hearts of such people, they add whatever they wish to the religion from themselves, and the importance of acting upon commands and obligations is lost.
