Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

114. 1. The magicians, since they were seekers of the world, learned the art of trickery only to earn worldly gains. Therefore, they considered it an opportune moment that the king was in need of them at this time, so why not take advantage of this opportunity and obtain as high a wage as possible. Thus, they presented their demand for a wage in case of success, upon which Pharaoh said that not only would they receive a reward, but they would also be included among my close associates.
