Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

16. 1. According to some, this is related to the world, for example, it is said that in the Battle of Badr, the noses of those disbelievers were struck by swords. And some say that this will be a sign of the people of Hell on the Day of Resurrection, that their noses will be branded, or it means the blackening of faces, as the faces of the disbelievers will be blackened on that day. Some say that this state of the disbelievers is possible both in this world and in the Hereafter.
