إِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ فِيهَا سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِىَ تَفُورُ ﴿7﴾
When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth.
إِذَآ idhā When
أُلْقُوا۟ ul'qū they are thrown
فِيهَا fīhā therein
سَمِعُوا۟ samiʿū they will hear
لَهَا lahā from it
شَهِيقًۭا shahīqan an inhaling
وَهِىَ wahiya while it
تَفُورُ tafūru boils up

7. 1. شَھِیْق refers to the sound that a donkey makes the first time; it is the most unpleasant sound. Hell will also be screaming and wailing like a donkey and will be boiling like a pot placed over fire.
