Surah At-Taghaabun (64) — Ayah 16

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ خَيْرًا لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ ۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ﴿16﴾
So keep your duty to Allâh and fear Him as much as you can; listen and obey, and spend in charity; that is better for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own covetousness, then they are the successful ones.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ fa-ittaqū So fear
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
مَا what
ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ is'taṭaʿtum you are able
وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ wa-is'maʿū and listen
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ wa-aṭīʿū and obey
وَأَنفِقُوا۟ wa-anfiqū and spend
خَيْرًۭا khayran (it is) better
لِّأَنفُسِكُمْ ۗ li-anfusikum for yourselves
وَمَن waman And whoever
يُوقَ yūqa is saved
شُحَّ shuḥḥa (from the) greediness
نَفْسِهِۦ nafsihi (of) his soul
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ fa-ulāika then those
هُمُ humu [they]
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ l-muf'liḥūna (are) the successful ones

16. 1. That is, listen to the words of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ with attention and reflection, and act upon them. Because merely listening is useless until there is action.
