سُوْرَةُ الْمُمْتَحِنَةِ
Surah Al-Mumtahana (60) — Ayah 7
۞ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَجْعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ عَادَيْتُم مِّنْهُم مَّوَدَّةً ۚ وَٱللَّهُ قَدِيرٌ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿7﴾

Perhaps Allâh will make friendship between you and those whom you hold as enemies. And Allâh has power (over all things), and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

7. 1. That is, by making them Muslims, He will make them your brothers and companions, through which the enmity between you will turn into friendship and love. Thus, this is exactly what happened; after the conquest of Makkah, people began to enter Islam in crowds, and as soon as they became Muslims, hatreds turned into love. Those who were thirsty for the blood of Muslims became their supporters and helpers.
