And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in the land and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but he knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

59. 1. By "Kitab Mubeen" is meant the Preserved Tablet (Lauh Mahfuz). From this verse, it is also understood that the Knower of the unseen is only Allah; all the treasures of the unseen are with Him alone. Therefore, when will the disbelievers, polytheists, and opponents be punished? The knowledge of this is also with Him alone, and He alone decides according to His wisdom. In the hadith, it is mentioned that the keys of the unseen are five: the knowledge of the Hour (Day of Judgment), the coming of rain, the child developing in the mother's womb, the events that will occur tomorrow, and where death will come. The knowledge of these five is with none but Allah (Sahih Bukhari).
