Surah Al-An'aam (6) — Ayah 44

فَلَمَّا نَسُوا۟ مَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓا۟ أَخَذْنَـٰهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ ﴿44﴾
So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened for them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given, all of a sudden, We took them (in punishment), and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows.
فَلَمَّا falammā So when
نَسُوا۟ nasū they forgot
مَا what
ذُكِّرُوا۟ dhukkirū they were reminded
بِهِۦ bihi of [it]
فَتَحْنَا fataḥnā We opened
عَلَيْهِمْ ʿalayhim on them
أَبْوَٰبَ abwāba gates
كُلِّ kulli (of) every
شَىْءٍ shayin thing
حَتَّىٰٓ ḥattā until
إِذَا idhā when
فَرِحُوا۟ fariḥū they rejoiced
بِمَآ bimā in what
أُوتُوٓا۟ ūtū they were given
أَخَذْنَـٰهُم akhadhnāhum We seized them
بَغْتَةًۭ baghtatan suddenly
فَإِذَا fa-idhā and then
هُم hum they
مُّبْلِسُونَ mub'lisūna (were) dumbfounded
