Surah Al-An'aam (6) — Ayah 26

وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ ۖ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿26﴾
And they prevent others from him (from following Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and they themselves keep away from him, and (by doing so) they destroy not but their ownselves, yet they perceive (it) not.
وَهُمْ wahum And they
يَنْهَوْنَ yanhawna forbid (others)
عَنْهُ ʿanhu from it
وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ wayanawna and they keep away
عَنْهُ ۖ ʿanhu from it
وَإِن wa-in And not
يُهْلِكُونَ yuh'likūna they destroy
إِلَّآ illā except
أَنفُسَهُمْ anfusahum themselves
وَمَا wamā and not
يَشْعُرُونَ yashʿurūna they perceive

26. 1 That is, they prevent ordinary people from you and from the Qur'an so that they do not believe, and they themselves also keep far away. 26. 2 But preventing people and keeping themselves away—how does this harm us or our Prophet ﷺ? By doing such things, they are themselves, unknowingly, preparing for their own destruction.
