"And verily, this (i.e. Allâh’s Commandments mentioned in the above two Verses 151 and 152) is My Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2)."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

153. 1. By ھَذَا (this) is meant the Noble Quran, or the religion of Islam, or those commands which have been specifically mentioned in this Surah, and they are: Tawheed (monotheism), Ma'ad (the Hereafter), and Risalah (Prophethood), and these are the three fundamentals of Islam around which the entire religion revolves. Therefore, whichever meaning is taken, the concept is the same for all.

153. 2. The Straight Path is mentioned in the singular form because the path of Allah, or the Quran, or the Messenger of Allah is one, not more than one. Therefore, only this one path is to be followed, not any other, and this is the foundation of the unity and consensus of the Muslim Ummah, from which, by deviating greatly, this Ummah has been divided into various sects and groups, even though it has been emphasized that you should not follow other paths, for those paths will separate you from the path of Allah. In another place, Allah Almighty has said: establish the religion and do not create division in it, meaning there is absolutely no permission for disagreement and division. The same point has been clarified in the hadith by the Prophet ﷺ in this way: he drew a line with his hand and said, "This is the straight path of Allah." And he drew several lines to its right and left and said, "These are paths upon which Satan sits and calls people to them." Then the Prophet ﷺ recited this very verse which is under explanation.
