And on the Day when He will gather them (all) together (and say): "O you assembly of jinn! Many did you mislead of men," and their Auliyâ’ (friends and helpers) amongst men will say: "Our Lord! We benefited one from the other, but now we have reached our appointed term which You did appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place, you will dwell therein forever, except as Allâh may will. Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

128. 1. That is, you have led a very large number of humans astray and made them your followers. Just as Allah Almighty has said in Surah Ya-Sin: "O children of Adam, did I not warn you not to worship Satan? He is your open enemy, and that you should worship only Me; this is the straight path. And Satan has led a very large number of you astray. Will you not then understand?"

128. 2. What benefit did the jinn and humans derive from each other? Two meanings have been stated. The benefit of the jinn from humans is that they derived pleasure by making them their followers, and the benefit of humans from the jinn is that Satan made sins appear attractive to them, which they accepted and remained entangled in the pleasure of sins. The second meaning is that humans continued to affirm those unseen reports that were spread as soothsaying by the devils and jinn. Thus, the jinn deceived humans and took advantage of them, and these same humans enjoyed the false conjectural statements narrated by the jinn, and people of the soothsayer type derived worldly benefits from them.

128. 3. That is, the Day of Judgment has occurred, which we did not believe in during the world. In response, Allah Almighty will say that now Hell is your eternal abode.
