Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. 1. This region of Banu Nadir, which came under the control of the Muslims, was three or four miles away from Madinah, meaning the Muslims did not need to undertake a long journey for it. That is, they did not have to ride camels and horses for it. In this way, there was also no occasion for fighting, and through a peace treaty, this region was conquered, meaning Allah made His Messenger prevail over them without fighting. Therefore, the wealth obtained from here was declared Fay’, whose ruling is different from that of Ghanimah, that is, the wealth which the enemy leaves behind and flees without fighting or is obtained through a peace treaty, and the wealth that is obtained after proper fighting and achieving dominance is Ghanimah.
