Surah Al-Hadid (57) — Ayah 26

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ ﴿26﴾
And indeed, We sent Nûh (Noah) and Ibrâhîm (Abraham), and placed in their offspring Prophethood and Scripture. And among them there are some who are guided; but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
وَلَقَدْ walaqad And certainly
أَرْسَلْنَا arsalnā We sent
نُوحًۭا nūḥan Nuh
وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ wa-ib'rāhīma and Ibrahim
وَجَعَلْنَا wajaʿalnā and We placed
فِى in
ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا dhurriyyatihimā their offspring
ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ l-nubuwata Prophethood
وَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۖ wal-kitāba and the Scripture
فَمِنْهُم famin'hum and among them
مُّهْتَدٍۢ ۖ muh'tadin (is) a guided one
وَكَثِيرٌۭ wakathīrun but most
مِّنْهُمْ min'hum of them
فَـٰسِقُونَ fāsiqūna (are) defiantly disobediently
