Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

2. 1. It is said that this is in response to the people of Makkah who kept saying that this Qur'an is taught to Muhammad by some human. Some say it is in response to their statement: What is Ar-Rahman? The meaning of teaching the Qur'an is that He made it easy, or Allah taught His Prophet and the Prophet taught the Ummah. In this Surah, Allah has enumerated many of His blessings. Since the teaching of the Qur'an is the most prominent among them in terms of value, status, importance, and benefit, therefore, this blessing is mentioned first. (Fath al-Qadeer)
