حِكْمَةٌۢ بَـٰلِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿5﴾
Perfect wisdom (this Qur’ân), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not.
حِكْمَةٌۢ ḥik'matun Wisdom
بَـٰلِغَةٌۭ ۖ bālighatun perfect
فَمَا famā but not
تُغْنِ tugh'ni will avail
ٱلنُّذُرُ l-nudhuru the warnings

5. 1. That is, a statement that turns away from destruction, or the Qur'an is wisdom that is perfect, in which there is no defect or flaw. Or, Allah is the One who guides whomever He wills and misguides whomever He wills; in this there is great wisdom which only He knows.
