Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
62. 1 This command was given for the rebuke of the polytheists and deniers. That is, when their condition is such that instead of accepting the Qur'an, they mock and belittle it, and the admonition and advice of Our Messenger has no effect on them, then O Muslims! You should bow before Allah and, by demonstrating His worship and obedience, make arrangements for the reverence and honor of the Qur'an. Thus, in compliance with this command, the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions performed prostration, even the disbelievers present in the gathering at that time also performed prostration. As is mentioned in the ahadith.
