Surah An-Najm (53) — Ayah 28

وَمَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ ۖ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔا ﴿28﴾
But they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth.
وَمَا wamā And not
لَهُم lahum for them
بِهِۦ bihi about it
مِنْ min any
عِلْمٍ ۖ ʿil'min knowledge
إِن in Not
يَتَّبِعُونَ yattabiʿūna they follow
إِلَّا illā but
ٱلظَّنَّ ۖ l-ẓana assumption
وَإِنَّ wa-inna And indeed
ٱلظَّنَّ l-ẓana the assumption
لَا (does) not
يُغْنِى yugh'nī avail
مِنَ mina against
ٱلْحَقِّ l-ḥaqi the truth
شَيْـًۭٔا shayan anything
