Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

2. 1. This is the answer to the oath. By saying صَاحِبِکُمْ (your companion), the truthfulness of the Prophet ﷺ has been made even clearer: before prophethood, he spent forty years with you and among you, all his daily routines are before you, his morals and character are well known to you. Other than honesty and trustworthiness, have you ever seen anything else in his character? Now, after forty years, when he is claiming prophethood, just think, how can he be lying? Thus, the reality is that he has neither gone astray nor erred. ضلالت is the deviation from the path of truth that comes from ignorance and lack of knowledge, and ghawāyat is the crookedness that is adopted knowingly by abandoning the truth. Allah Almighty has declared His Prophet free from both types of misguidance.
