Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

49. 1. That is, everything has been created in pairs, male and female, or its counterpart and opposite as well. Like light and darkness, dryness and wetness, moon and sun, sweet and bitter, night and day, good and evil, life and death, faith and disbelief, misery and happiness, Paradise and Hell, jinn and humans, etc., even in contrast to animals, inanimate objects. Therefore, it is necessary that the world also has a pair, that is, the Hereafter, another life in contrast to this world.

49. 2. Know that the Creator of all these is only one Allah, He has no partner.
