Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

43. 1. That is, when they killed the she-camel which they themselves had demanded as a miracle, it was said to them that now enjoy the pleasures of the world for three more days; after three days you will be destroyed. This is what is being referred to. Some have considered this to be the statement of Prophet Salih (AS) at the beginning of his prophethood. The words can bear this meaning as well, and in fact, from the context, this meaning is closer.
