مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ ﴿42﴾
It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins.
مَا Not
تَذَرُ tadharu it left
مِن min any
شَىْءٍ shayin thing
أَتَتْ atat it came
عَلَيْهِ ʿalayhi upon it
إِلَّا illā but
جَعَلَتْهُ jaʿalathu it made it
كَٱلرَّمِيمِ kal-ramīmi like disintegrated ruins

42. 1. This was the effect of the wind that was sent as a punishment upon the people of ‘Ad. This violent and fierce wind continued to blow for seven nights and eight days consecutively (الحاقہ).
