Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
O Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allâh will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allâh guides not the people who disbelieve.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
67. 1. The implication of this command is that whatever has been revealed to you, you should convey it without any omission or fear of reproach. And on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, in the presence of a gathering of one hundred thousand or one hundred and forty thousand Companions, you ﷺ said, "What will you say about me?" Bear witness (three times) Sahih Muslim, Book of Hajj — that is, O Allah! I have conveyed Your message, so bear witness, so bear witness, so bear witness.
67. 2. This protection was granted by Allah in a miraculous manner as well as through worldly means. Through worldly means, long before the revelation of this verse, Allah placed natural love for you in the heart of your uncle Abu Talib, and he continued to protect you. His remaining firm upon disbelief also seems to be a part of these means, because if he had become Muslim, perhaps the chiefs of Quraysh would not have held the same awe and respect for him that they did as long as he remained of their religion. Then, after his death, Allah, through some chiefs of Quraysh, from time to time informed you of the plots and schemes of the Jews and protected you at times of particular danger, and even in fierce battles, He kept you safe from the extremely dangerous attacks of the disbelievers.
