Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

63. 1. This is a reproach against the scholars and spiritual leaders of the religion, as well as the devout worshippers and ascetics, that the majority of the common people commit immorality and consume what is forbidden in front of you, yet you do not stop them. In such circumstances, your silence is a great crime. This makes it clear how important enjoining good and forbidding evil is, and how severe the warning (punishment) is for abandoning it. This subject has also been explained in detail and abundance in the ahadith.
