Surah Al-Maaida (5) — Ayah 59

قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ ﴿59﴾
Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do you criticize us for no other reason than that we believe in Allâh, and in (the revelation) which has been sent down to us and in that which has been sent down before (us), and that most of you are Fâsiqûn [rebellious and disobedient (to Allâh)]?"
قُلْ qul Say
يَـٰٓأَهْلَ yāahla O People
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ l-kitābi (of) the Book
هَلْ hal Do
تَنقِمُونَ tanqimūna you resent
مِنَّآ minnā [of] us
إِلَّآ illā except
أَنْ an that
ءَامَنَّا āmannā we believe
بِٱللَّهِ bil-lahi in Allah
وَمَآ wamā and what
أُنزِلَ unzila has been revealed
إِلَيْنَا ilaynā to us
وَمَآ wamā and what
أُنزِلَ unzila was revealed
مِن min from
قَبْلُ qablu before
وَأَنَّ wa-anna and that
أَكْثَرَكُمْ aktharakum most of you
فَـٰسِقُونَ fāsiqūna (are) defiantly disobedient
