Verily, those who disbelieve, if they had all that is in the earth, and as much again therewith to ransom themselves thereby from the torment on the Day of Resurrection, it would never be accepted of them, and theirs would be a painful torment.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

36. 1. It is mentioned in a hadith that a person from Hell will be brought out and presented before Allah. Allah will ask him, "How did you find your resting place?" He will reply, "The worst resting place." Allah will say, "Would you like to ransom yourself from it by giving gold equal to the earth?" He will answer in the affirmative. Allah will say, "I had demanded from you much less than this in the world, but you did not care about it there," and he will be thrown back into Hell. (Sahih Muslim)
