Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

12. 1. Do not fall into the same shortcoming. Just as once the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has made Hajj obligatory upon you," a person asked, "Is it every year?" You remained silent, and he repeated the question three times. Then you said, "If I had said yes, then Hajj would have become obligatory every year, and if that had happened, it would not have been possible for you to perform Hajj every year." Do not ask me about things which have not been explained to you, because the destruction of the previous nations was due to their excessive questioning and their disagreements with their prophets.
