سُوْرَةُ مُحَمَّدٍ
Surah Muhammad (47) — Ayah 9
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ ﴿9﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
That is because they hate that which Allâh has sent down (this Qur’ân and Islâmic laws, etc.); so He has made their deeds fruitless.

9. 1 That is, they disliked the Qur'an and faith. 9. 2 By deeds are meant those deeds which outwardly appear to be good deeds, but due to lack of faith, there will be no reward or recompense for them with Allah.
