Therefore be patient (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) as did the Messengers of strong will and be in no haste about them (disbelievers). On the Day when they will see that (torment) with which they are promised (i.e. threatened, it will be) as if they had not stayed more than an hour in a single day. (O mankind! this Qur’ân is sufficient as) a clear Message (or proclamation to save yourself from destruction). But shall any be destroyed except the people who are Al-Fâsiqûn (the rebellious against Allâh’s Command, the disobedient to Allâh)?
فَٱصْبِرْ fa-iṣ'bir So be patient

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

35. 1. In contrast to the attitude of the disbelievers of Makkah, the Prophet ﷺ is being comforted and instructed to be patient.
35. 2. After witnessing the terrifying punishment of the Day of Judgment, the life of this world will seem to them as if they had spent only one hour of the day here.
35. 3. This is the predicate of an omitted subject, i.e., i.e., "This (with which you have been admonished) is a message." This is the advice or message whose delivery is your responsibility.
35. 4. In this verse as well, there is good news and encouragement for the believers that the destruction of the Hereafter is only for those who are disobedient to Allah and violate His limits.
