Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

86. 1. That is, the idols that are worshipped in the world, thinking that they will intercede for us with Allah, those deities will have absolutely no authority for intercession.

86. 2. By "the truth" is meant the word of Tawheed, La ilaha illallah, and this declaration should also be based on knowledge and insight, not merely formal and imitative—that is, the one who utters the word of Tawheed with his tongue should know that it affirms only one Allah and negates all other deities.
