فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ ﴿83﴾
So leave them (alone) to speak nonsense and play until they meet the Day of theirs which they have been promised.
فَذَرْهُمْ fadharhum So leave them
يَخُوضُوا۟ yakhūḍū (to) converse vainly
وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ wayalʿabū and play
حَتَّىٰ ḥattā until
يُلَـٰقُوا۟ yulāqū they meet
يَوْمَهُمُ yawmahumu their Day
ٱلَّذِى alladhī which
يُوعَدُونَ yūʿadūna they are promised

83. 1 That is, if they do not adopt the path of guidance, then now leave them to themselves and let them remain engaged in the amusements of the world.

83. 2 Their eyes will be opened on the day when the consequence of their behavior comes before them.
