Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

28. 1. That is, he bequeathed his word لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللّٰہُ to his children, as it is said, 'that Allah kept this word among the descendants of Ibrahim after him, and they continued to worship only one Allah.'

28. 2. That is, these monotheists were created among the descendants of Ibrahim so that, through their preaching of monotheism, people would continue to refrain from shirk; it was the religion of Ibrahim (AS) which was based purely on monotheism, not on shirk.
