سُوْرَةُ الشُّوْرٰي

Surah Ash-Shura (42) — Ayah 26

وَيَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ ۚ وَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ ﴿26﴾
And He answers (the invocation of) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and gives them increase of His Bounty. And as for the disbelievers, theirs will be a severe torment.
وَيَسْتَجِيبُ wayastajību And He answers
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ āmanū believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟ waʿamilū and do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ l-ṣāliḥāti righteous deeds
وَيَزِيدُهُم wayazīduhum and increases (for) them
مِّن min from
فَضْلِهِۦ ۚ faḍlihi His Bounty
وَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ wal-kāfirūna And the disbelievers
لَهُمْ lahum for them
عَذَابٌۭ ʿadhābun (will be) a punishment
شَدِيدٌۭ shadīdun severe

26. 1. That is, He listens to their prayers and fulfills their wishes and desires. Provided that the etiquettes and conditions of supplication are fully observed, and it is mentioned in the hadith: "Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than that person whose mount, along with food and drink, gets lost in the desert or wilderness, and he, losing hope, lies down under a tree, when suddenly he finds his mount, and out of extreme joy, he utters, 'O Allah! You are my servant and I am Your Lord,' meaning he makes a mistake in his words due to excessive happiness." (Sahih Muslim)
