But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient - and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion (of happiness in the Hereafter i.e. Paradise and of a high moral character) in this world.

35. 1. That is, the virtue of repelling evil with good is indeed very beneficial and greatly fruitful, but only those will be able to act upon it who are patient. Those who swallow their anger and endure unpleasant things.
35. 2. By "حظ عظیم" (great fortune) is meant Paradise. That is, the aforementioned virtues are attained by the one who is greatly fortunate, meaning a person of Paradise for whom entry into Paradise has been decreed.
